Our Pastor
Pastor David Holston has always felt a strong ministerial calling and after a successful career in the business world as General Manager for companies as divergent as National Gypsum,Sears, and Michelin Tire Co, he retired in 2016. David enrolled in The School for Ministry offered by the Disciples of Christ in 2019 and graduated in 2022. He has served in Pulpit Supply in various denominations and as Bridge Pastor for his home church, St. Paul’s UCC in Monee for three months in 2021/2022.
David’s faith journey has taken him from his Kansas roots in the Methodist church, through exploration of the Baptist, Nazarene and finally to his spiritual forever home in the United Church of Christ for the last 26 years.
Dave and his wife Christi have five grown children and eighteen grandchildren. He loves
soccer, fishing, traveling, and welcoming visitors and friends to his porch regularly.
Our Pianist
Mickey O'Brien has been a substitute pianist for us since the spring of 2022. He became our regular pianist on July 9, 2023. He will begin his Junior year at Elmhurst College in the fall term of 2023. In addition to piano, Mickey plays the accordion.
