Thank you to all who brought items for our All Church Garage Sale. Many, many hours went into sorting, placing, and pricing all of the donated items, plus baking goodies for the bake sale. A HUGE thank you goes to Tina Amodeo (and her mother), Doris Carter, Ruth Martin, Minni Philip, Betty Prorak, Jane Reid, Aurora Slinkman, and Amy Slinkman for all of that prep work. All but Tina’s mom also worked on the day of the sale. They were joined by Dan Carter, John Martin, Raja Philip, Diana Robbins, Chloe Slinkman, and Ed Slinkman who helped during and/or after the sale.

As of this writing, we made $980.70 from the garage sale. Some money is still to come in from leftover books taken to a store that will give us money for them and from brand-name clothes taken to second-hand shops. The vast majority of leftover clothing was donated to the Community Clothing Center at First United Methodist Church of Elmhurst, where it is available to anyone in need. Most of the rest of the leftover treasures were donated to Goodwill in Lombard.
